Causes of Poor Behavior In The Classroom

Based on my research, there are many typical causes of poor behavior in the classroom that can be stated. The background for behavior problems can have a rather wide range and one of them is need for attention. Most students who act out in classrooms do not get enough attention at home. By acting out in class they feel that they get more of the attention that they desire, and if they happen to be funny he or she seeks the drive they need to continue this bad behavior. The thing that influences a behavior, good or bad, the most is reinforcements. A class clown will continue to act poorly if people laugh, and a bully will continue to pick on kids if he sees that it bothers them. Once these bad behaviors become dissociated with the reinforcements , it is possible to eliminate them.

Besides that, the most likely cause of behavior problems in the classroom are undiagnosed learning disabilities. One out of five children has an undiagnosed learning disability so that means in a class of 20 there are at least five that have learning disabilities. Teachers should advocate for having those children evaluated to determine what the problem is. Teachers have that right also and if more of them would do it rather than just write them off as problem children you would get more kids help and more kids would be able to learn and be less disruptive in school.

Other than that, maybe this problem also comes from other sources. For example, take a look at their parents. Well you know the apple does not fall far from the tree. Maybe the teacher can be a little more sensitive to the child, it could be their home life, or maybe they has emotional or behavior issues. Then, it also can causes by lack of interest in lesson or the subjects are boring.
